One would assume that eventually, the Devs are going to release a LARGE lake that has better fishing spots ONLY accessible via Kayak. They are more a novelty and for fun and you won't find even ONE SINGLE PLACE where you can fish from that Kayaks (that you CAN'T get to from the bank) which will help you catch bigger or more fish. Time that might be better spent with your lure/bait in the water actually CATCHING FISH and earning more money from the bank.Īs it currently stands, using the kayaks isn't going to help you make MORE money. In other words, you'll be wasting LOTS of time messing with the kayak. Couple that with the fact that bigger fish have a tendency to pull you around and you'll spend lots of time you could be fishing getting your kayak back in the right position. Not to mention the fact it takes FOREVER to get anywhere using them. The kayaks take some time getting used to. And we've seen what people say about the albinos.If your cash reserves are such that you sre even DEBATING about whether or not to spend $35K, I would honestly advise you to skip the kayak and use that money to upgrade your equipment and for travel/license expenses. Just took me an hour to get my first bite from an ogre in NC, so they're certainly not as free biting as other species it seems. Even then it could've been other fish, but this was the middle of the night so I don't think the alligator gar were active. I had 2 early strikes, and 2 bait pulled away from dragging over the top of them. Basically just a brick sitting there without working AI. It feels like they're stationary and not moving at all. The only way I had any signs of life whatsoever was by casting out and reeling/twitching over them. You could see their fins breach the water's surface etc.I truly believe they're bugged.
I watched some videos on youtube from the previous year's events when they were in Missouri. I've fished probably 12-14 real life hours for them now and not gotten so much as a nibble. I'll keep trying, but that's definitely gotta be buggy.
